Find
Retrieve useful pages, places, videos, businesses and information from the wider web.
Search is where eFind began. The next chapter is not about making the search box busier. It is about making finding more useful.
We started with a search box. That seemed complicated enough at the time.
Then the web became noisier, phones became the default computer, maps became part of everyday decisions, video became an answer format, and AI changed what people expect after they ask a question. A list of links still matters. It is simply no longer the whole job.
The eFind we are building keeps the web close to the answer. Sources matter. Original pages matter. Maps, news, weather and video matter when the question calls for them. And sometimes the most useful result is not another page at all—it is the next sensible step.
A search engine that cannot find the web would be a rather strange place to start reinventing search.
The sections below separate what exists today from the direction we are building toward.
eFind is available today as a web search experience with links into Images, Maps, News, Weather, eTube and other parts of the ecosystem.
We are designing a quieter conversational layer so questions can be phrased the way people actually think, not the way an index prefers.
AI can summarize and synthesize. Important claims should still lead back to the pages, documents and publishers that support them.
Ads can pay for visibility. They should not quietly buy the conclusion. Sponsored placement needs to look sponsored.
Retrieve useful pages, places, videos, businesses and information from the wider web.
Bring context together so a person can make sense of what they found rather than opening fourteen tabs and hoping for the best.
Turn understanding into useful work: a draft, comparison, plan, list or explanation.
Move naturally to the next capability—Maps, Mail, eDrive, a business, a video or something else—when that is genuinely useful.
eFind is the front door. eIntelligence is the intelligence layer. eFind ONE is the identity layer. Maps, News, Weather, eTube and the rest are capabilities around the question.
Different products. One intelligence. One eFind.
eFind already connects Search with Images, Maps, News, Weather, Email and video discovery. The conversational direction builds on that foundation rather than replacing it with a chat window for everything.
The main page should stay intentionally spare. Most visits begin with a question, not a desire to admire a portal. The North Star can signal intelligent help without competing with the task.
AI can summarize, organize and explain. For factual work, useful answers should still make it possible to inspect where information came from and move back to the web, maps, news or another source.
Advertising can appear when it is relevant and clearly sponsored. Paying for visibility should not buy the underlying conclusion. That is a product rule, not a decorative sentence in the footer.
The value is not that eFind owns every answer. The value is that the pieces can cooperate when the question crosses product boundaries.
Inside eFind uses AVAILABLE, BUILDING, RESEARCH and VISION deliberately. If something is described as future direction, that is what it is. If a product is live, we link to it so you can judge it yourself.
Ambition ages better when it is honest about the calendar.
