News + discovery

eFind News

eFind News brings current stories and multiple publishers into a single discovery experience without pretending one headline is the whole story.

AVAILABLE
Why it exists

One event. Many sources. Quite a few headlines.

News is one of the few products where being current is part of the definition.

eFind News is live today with sections including Headlines, U.S., World, Local, Business, Tech, Entertainment, Sports, Science and Health. Stories can surface coverage from multiple publishers around the same event, which is exactly the direction we want to deepen: help people find the reporting, see who is saying what, and get to original sources quickly.

We do not think an AI summary should become a replacement for journalism. It can be a way into the reporting—provided the reporting remains visible.

If everyone agrees on a headline immediately, it is either a very simple story or we should probably read a little further.

What it does

Headlines are easy. Context takes more work.

The sections below separate what exists today from the direction we are building toward.

NOW

Current headline discovery

Browse live categories and current stories in one place.

SOURCES

More than one publisher

Related coverage can expose different reporting, emphasis and source material around the same event.

CONTEXT

Understand before reacting

Our longer-term direction is to help people orient themselves with timelines, primary documents and clearly attributed context where available.

TRUST

Keep publishers visible

Original reporting should remain identifiable and reachable. Summaries should not make the people who did the reporting disappear.

The experience

See the story. Then see who is reporting it.

01

Discover

See what is happening across categories that matter to you.

02

Compare

Open coverage from different publishers instead of treating the first headline as the end of the subject.

03

Understand

Use context to make sense of what changed, what is known and where accounts differ.

04

Follow the source

Go to the publisher, reporting or document behind the summary. Attribution is part of the product, not fine print.

How it fits

News belongs beside search, not inside a bubble.

News gives eFind a current-events layer. Search provides breadth. eIntelligence can help organize context. The product should make the reporting easier to reach, not easier to forget.

Different products. One intelligence. One eFind.

News in practice

One event can produce twenty headlines and zero spare minutes.

eFind News currently organizes coverage across Headlines, U.S., World, Local, Business, Tech, Entertainment, Sports, Science and Health, and groups multiple publishers around major stories.

Multiple publishers are a feature

A clustered story can make it easier to see how different outlets are framing the same event. That does not make every source equally reliable; it makes the act of comparing coverage less tedious.

AI should summarize carefully

The future opportunity is orientation: what happened, what is confirmed, where accounts differ and where the original reporting lives. News is exactly the wrong place for confident invention.

The source deserves the click

eFind News should help discovery without pretending publishers are interchangeable raw material. The original reporting remains part of the product experience.

A note on status

Live news today. More understanding is the direction.

Inside eFind uses AVAILABLE, BUILDING, RESEARCH and VISION deliberately. If something is described as future direction, that is what it is. If a product is live, we link to it so you can judge it yourself.

Ambition ages better when it is honest about the calendar.
